The PRESAM Study (Predialysis Survey
of Anaemia Management) is a retrospective epidemiological
survey with the chief aim of evaluating the management
of anaemia in patients with chronic renal insufficiency
during the year preceding dialysis.
As a secondary objective, PRESAM focuses on:
- The clinical trajectory of the patient prior to the first visit to a dialysis
centre
- Comorbidity profiles
- Intervening clinical events in the year preceding dialysis
- Medical treatments
Inclusion Criteria

or peritoneal dialysis (including those after a graft failure) between 1.9.99
and 30.11.99.
